VanVanGo was recommended to us by a friend who lives on Fuerteventura and has traveled there herself with their campervan – and we can only pass on her recommendation.
We inquired in May 2024 and booked in August for January 2026. The deposit via credit card/PayPal went smoothly, and communication was quick, friendly, and reliable from the start.
As extras, we booked bed linen (one set) and two towels – next time we'll definitely add a second set. Questions about the amenities (e.g., kettle & hairdryer) and a later extension of our stay by one day were always answered very promptly.
Then, unfortunately, came the big shock: Due to the snow chaos in Hamburg, we couldn't fly and had to cancel or rebook our flight, ferry to Lanzarote, and therefore also our campervan. This was completely stress-free. Canceling via WhatsApp was no problem, and we were able to rebook the campervan through the portal a week later. Both deposits were credited towards the final price; we only paid the remaining balance plus the security deposit upon handover.
On the day of arrival, we received the exact location of the office via WhatsApp, including a photo of the camper. We took a taxi from the port inland (approx. €50). After a short, easy-to-understand briefing, we were able to set off immediately. We also received helpful information, travel tips, and parking recommendations via WhatsApp. Additionally, we used the park4night app, which was very helpful.
Our McLouis MC4 was fully equipped: solar panel, awning, two large double beds, two gas burners, large refrigerator with freezer compartment, toilet with separate shower, table & chairs, and a parasol.
It also came with a small cleaning kit, toilet chemicals, dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, an espresso maker, a corkscrew, and even our own VanVanGo mugs.
Minor comments (really nitpicking):
We would have found a dish towel and a whisk handy, and a small starter kit would have been nice. A roll of toilet paper and salt & pepper would have been nice. (We left them in the camper specifically for the next renters.)
The day before returning the camper, we asked VanVanGo via WhatsApp to arrange a taxi to the port for us – that worked perfectly, too. We cleaned the camper ourselves at the Disa gas station in San Bartolomé. The gas station is superbly equipped: gray water drain, black water disposal, cleaning, fresh water refill (all for €2), and a thorough wash of the camper – all in one place.
In conclusion:
Great camper, excellent service, extremely straightforward communication, and very fair treatment – even in an unexpected, exceptional situation.
We will definitely book with VanVanGo again and can wholeheartedly recommend them.
